What a fabulous week this is for Australians of all ages – it’s National Science Week and there’s so much to see and do all across the country!
This morning, for example, ScienceRewired attended the launch of the Australian Museum’s Science Festival – two weeks of hands-on science involving 4,500 students and 250 workshops. The Science Festival was co-launched today by Chief Scientist of Australia, Professor Ian Chubb and science journalist extraordinaire Robyn Williams.
National Science Week’s events search will help you track down any science fun happening in your neck of the woods.
There’s a delicious variety of scientific flavours to enjoy; whether you’re interested in robotics, city farming, space exploration, photography, geology or the animal kingdom, you’re sure to find something to tickle your fancy.
As Professor Chubb mentioned in his address this morning, science isn’t about text books, it’s about getting out and doing things. So go and get amongst it!
